Fantastic clean friendly site

Love this site! Friendly and helpful staff, immaculate and well planned family shower rooms which were so cosy and warm with ample hot water and showers that worked fantastically!

Location was fab - beautiful accessible (but safe) lake to wander around/fish, large clean pitches, takeaway on site - could not fault anything, loved it.

Our two children adored the playground and our two dogs adored the best campsite dog run we have ever seen - beautiful sweeping grass walks with beautifully managed and very accessible woodland bits off it that the children and dogs enjoyed exploring.

The site had great friendly safe feel to it so children were allowed to play/have element of freedom to cycle around parts of the camp but I loved that the site genuinely fell quiet for 10pm ish when lots of us with tired children need that switch off.

Most of all though the site was full of lovely friendly fellow campers just wanting a fun, no stress holiday and everyone was so respectful of the site and each other, it was great. We will definitely return, many thanks again

Really Generous Pitches

Spent 9 days here in August when the weather was mainly windy and raining. The staff were really friendly and helpful - after showing us to our pitch, they put chippings down to soak up some of the rain and mud. The pitches were really generous and the strategic planting of trees made you feel like you also had some privacy.

The shower/toilet block was lovely and warm with piping hot showers. The shower cubicles were also quite spacious which is great if you've also got young children. There was also a shelving unit, chair and a bin - again very useful. They were always clean too.

The site is ideally situated for getting to other places such as Woolacombe, Ilfracombe, Exmoor etc. We tended to drive to where we were going and then walk as didn't really like to walk down the narrow roads - especially with the children.

When we go back to Devon, I would definitely visit this site again.
