Feeding the ducks

Feeding the ducks

It's got a lovely fishing lake with lovely ducks that are really friendly we love going feeding them every day. My son loves the playground at the top especially the zip wire. We all love the bottom fields especially the dog where he can run freely which you can walk through to get to Mortehoe.

My 2 daughters ( 3 and *8 ) loved it so much .. they spent a day fishing in the lake and loved feeding the ducks that live on there every morning.. such a peaceful site no noise at all 11pm which was what we were looking for .. the onsite shop is very handy and also the family shower blocks were great for us all to get in..the site its so clean and spotless !!

Our daughter was very happy feeding the ducks every morning! Staff were very helpful and informative. I highly recommend this site.

Even the local ducks come around for breakfast.

Fantastic Camp Site

We just returned from a week here. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, There is nothing not to like about this site. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, When booking over the phone the lady I spoke to was wonderful, she spent time helping me select the pitch we would like - Thank you to that lady :0).

This site itself is ideal if you are looking for peace and quiet and some privacy. The pitches are very well spaced and well maintained. Before booking I did check out the reviews and the website, and it was partly due to the few 'bad reviews' that helped me to choose this site! I like peace and quiet, I like not to have another caravan or tent slap bang next door and I love the fact that if there are people being a bit noisy that they are asked quieten down. The website makes it clear that this is a campsite for people who are looking for a quieter kind of holiday. But it was great that the reviews confirmed this does happen :0).

Upon our arrival we were shown to our pitch and offered lots of help if needed, all we had to do was ask. We had a sea view pitch which was lovely, but all of the pitches are nice and spacious. The shower/toilet blocks are superb, with underfloor heating and were extremely clean.

The dog walking area is great (we do not have a dog) but still had a wonder round, this is area is really well thought out. I would also like to add how true to life Warcombe Farms website is, quite often I find that a website shows you the 'best bits', photos taken at flattering angles, pitches made to look larger than they really are etc. , but Warcombe Farm is like the images/description on their website.

It is really lovely site and ideal location for exploring this part of Devon. We would definitely stay here again, WELL DONE ALL AT WARCOMBE FARM AND THANK YOU FOR A LOVELY STAY!

We stayed on the site at the end of the season. Some of the pitches where a bit bare on grass but the grounds are excellent. The sunsets and sunrises where amazing. We had a larger pitch with electric hook up, it was nice and secluded with plenty of trees and you were not right on top of your neighbours.

The showers and toilets were the best we have ever seen, very clean new and stylish with everything you could need and more, we particularly liked the fact there was a bath so after a long days cycling on the Tarka trail it was great to have. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, we altered our booking a few times and nothing seemed a problem.

We really liked the wooded area that they had planted, where you can join the footpaths to lee, or just let the dog loose.

Everything is covered here and we struggled to find anything to criticise, only thing would be no plugs in one of the shower blocks for the hair-dryer.

The village of Mortehoe is walkable but we always drove, the local shop had all we needed and there are two pubs. Woolacombe is an excellent beach but beware as kite buggies are not allowed. The roads to the campsite are good, unlike many of the Devon roads. We are busy planning when to return again.
