I'm a seasoned camper. I've been all round UK and Europe in tent and camper van. This place is straight into my all-time top 5, purely on the fact that even if it's not the best located campsite in this part of Devon, it is extremely well run.
It bucketed it down and the ground was soggy, so I was swiftly given some chipped straw to soak it up 4. 5 minutes after asking for it. Better washing facilities than I have at home (really - underfloor heating in a campsite!).
The site itself is a good mix of hard touring pitches and meadows for us tenters. The small shop has the basics and camping spares. Various food offerings on - different nights for those needing a rest from cooking. If it had a bar and was right by the beach I think I'd stay forever. Thanks Warcombe - another satisfied customer and thanks for being so kind to my little boy on his first camping trip to Devon.
Visited you in the summer and were amazed at the standard of the facilities, and how well laid out and planted the whole site is. We have told everyone we know to visit you and can't wait to come back next year. Very dog friendly camping too, which is what we were looking for. Ellie, Mark, and Archie Dog, Plymouth.
