Romantic Lakeside Camping

Romantic Lakeside Camping

If your idea of romantic weekend getaway involves a lakeside setting, then heading towards Warcombe Farm would be a start in the right direction

Several of our services pitches offer a picturesque view of the lake and the surrounding countryside.

During the day time, you can fish, wander round our woodland walk or head on down to the world famous Woolacombe beach .. take a dip together in the sea. When the night falls on clear nights, you can enjoy star gazing together.

Luxury welcomed us

After wild camping in our VW for 3 nights we decided to treat ourselves to a campsite for 1 night, after doing a quick Google search Warcombe farm popped up and so off we headed.

Now bearing in mind our camper van looks like something that has been vandalised by graffiti artist, we were welcomed by the staff and nothing was too much trouble. This site is extremely well kept with clearly marked pitches and facilities.

The shower blocks are total bliss, with under floor heating and exceptionally clean. Security is top notch with a barrier system. Little shop is well stocked with essentials. Highly recommended, many thanks for a short but very pleasant stay,

North Devon is a beautiful place to visit

We arrived to site and the staff were very helpful and friendly, we were shown to our pitch which was large and private also fully serviced. The pitch was water logged at back and took a bit of hard work to get caravan level, but the view was beautiful.

The site has a children play area, which our 3 children enjoyed very much, being close to this had its good and bad points, good being able to watch our children play, bad in the fact that we had to listen to the zip wire from 10 in morning till 10 at night.

The site has 2 shower blocks and both were lovely and modern and clean, the best I've ever had to use on any campsite. The roads out of site, were very narrow and we had a bike ride down to Mortehoe but roads very busy so felt not safe for children.

There are many lovely beaches nearby, we visited Woolacombe and Putsborough both lovely, but cost six pounds to park.

Overall a good site with great facilities and North Devon is a beautiful place to visit.
