There are just a few campsites in North Devon that can offer you a well services pitch beside such a tranquil lake. The lake can offer photogenic opportunities at all times of the day.
Brilliant siteOur second visit and each time we have stayed a week out of the main 'season'.The toilet and shower blocks are spectacular - always warm, very large showers and spotlessly clean at all times. Very luxurious if camping in the cooler months as we mainly do.Many of the pitches around the edges are landscaped with bushes or dry stone walling. In the centre of the site is a fishing lake for those who want to partake, This is safely fenced off so that children don't accidentally roam in.The site has very friendly owners, and you can buy essential things like wine, bacon, chocolate biscuits and milk (!) from the small shop in the office. You can walk to Mortehoe over the cliffs from the site, which takes about 45 minutes and is very beautiful. You do need a car to get into Woolacombe to visit the stunning beaches.

Stayed in 2005. Best campsite you will ever find, and I've been to a few.
