Looking to Morte Point

The glorious view across the beach to Morte Point.

A camp site to put on your favourites.

We visited this site after reading the reviews and decided to treat ourselves to the luxury showers and even upgraded to a lake side pitch. All worth the money. Cost us with four children and two cars the best part of £50 a night, but well worth it.

The showers are of hotel standard and you can easily shower with a young child, and not even need the family rooms. Brilliant.

The washing facilities (of clothes) are the best I've ever seen. Four new washing machines underneath, and four new tumble dryers on top! The cleanest wash I've ever had on a campsite!

We had typical English weather, and on one occasion had almost 36 hours continual drizzly wet rain. We noticed that when campers up and left and there was any possibility of the tent pitch (you do have to pitch tent and car etc in the way the site tell you to) being damp or muddy then chippings were immediately laid. We had gained such a small patch entering our tent, and simply asked for some chippings, which were readily given. The rain left a huge boggy puddle at the end of our pitch and I thought we were going to be left with mud, but no, after a day it had completely drained and no mud!

We pitched at the bottom end of the field around the lake, and the lower down you go the more secluded and protected from the wind you become. Simply ask when booking telling them what you'd prefer.

Definitely a camp site to put on your favourites.

King and Icat

We stayed here with some friends, and can not fault this site at all.

We had a great pitch and were next to each other so were able to make a good little area which was quite private. The facilities are excellent and at no extra cost.

The dog walk was the best we have ever had, and the campsite was the most dog friendly.

Excellent value for money, great staff, great facilities and a great location.

We will be staying again!
