Looking to Morte Point

Looking to Morte Point

The glorious view across the beach to Morte Point.

This is our 3rd year camping at Warcombe Farm and without doubt we will be returning next year as well!

There are a variety of pitches to choose from, but we always choose the Premier pitch as they are completely level, very spacious and come with a sturdy picnic bench, water tap and electric hook up.

The site is extremely well run and the staff constantly monitor the site for any issues, without being at all intrusive. The facilities are amazing. Always sparkly clean and so many toilets and showers, you never have to wait even in peak season. There are also plenty of dishwashing facilities, a laundry room and a well stocked shop.

We love camping at this site as the children thoroughly enjoy fishing on the lake (£3. 50 per rod, per half day). It is also a dog friendly site and there is a fantastic dedicated area for walking your dog off the lead.

It is ideally located for exploring North Devon. We can thoroughly recommend the walk to Heddon's Mouth or a visit to the Valley of the Rocks.

Wifi is available at a charge (£24 for 4 devices for a week). There is a good child's play area, although to be honest there are so many other things to do, our children have not used it!

There are different food vans that visit every night if you don't feel like cooking; from wood fired pizza ovens, seafood vans and even Thai food.

I can't fault this camp site in any way. It is not the cheapest of sites, but it is top quality.

The M&S of campsites

Excellent! We arrived last Saturday for 2 nights, but have just extended our stay for the second time which will make it just short of a week - we love it and although we were supposed to be touring have ended up using this as our base as lots of fab places to visit, beautiful beaches, all within easy walking and driving.

Very spacious pitch, thoughtfully placed by the staff as it's near the fantastic dog walk - which is literally acres of peace and beautiful walking. Lots of different pitches though to choose from, dependent of what you are after.

Staff are friendly and the facilities and park itself if spotless. The toilets and showers are the best I've seen, underfloor heating and plenty of them, plus there are two blocks so I imagine that even when it's really busy you'd not have the usual queuing, big bonus!

The take away is cooked fresh, and we've tried the evening menu-curry is superb-and breakfast-no catering sausages here! We are sad to be leaving Friday but will return, and definitely recommend a visit.
