We have just returned from Warcombe farm after a 3 night stay. We had lovely weather for the first day and visited Barricane beach off of the main Woolacombe bay (10 mins drive) which was a lovely shelly beach with great rock pools for the kids.
The campsite was very well run, with the best shower blocks I have ever seen- the under floor heating was bliss! Wonderful family shower rooms as well. Some of the pitches were on quite a slope and the ones at the top of the site are quite exposed.
The play area for the kid was OK, not that suitable for toddler aged children though. We had a great stay, but felt it was a tad expensive for what it was. One big tip is to take your own drinking water as the mains supply was disgusting, completely undrinkable as tasted very treated, not chlorine but almost an antiseptic taste- flavoured the food you cooked in it as well! Yuck
Having had a fantastic holiday at Warcombe farm last year, we couldn't wait to go again. We were not disappointed. It was even better than last year despite the weather not being quite so good. Where do you start reviewing such a fantastic site and amazing people.
We unfortunately had a problem with our inflatable awning and it had somehow sprung a leak. Anyone that has read any previous reviews will have come across Glyn. I am pleased to say that I met the legend and he couldn't have been more helpful. He helped us temporarily fix our awning and made regular checked through out the weeks to make sure it was ok. He really couldn't have been any more helpful. He also taught me and the family to fish and spent time with my 2 young children patiently explaining what to do. It is little touches like this that really make this site so warm, friendly and welcoming.
I am not saying anything that hasn't been said before but the facilities are exceptionally clean and well serviced, the site is immaculately clean and tidy, the shop is well stocked and reasonably priced, the staff are engaging, helpful and are always keen to offer advise should it be needed and the pitches are of a lovely size and well maintained.
For anyone that is not sure where to go camping or caravanning next I urge you to go to Warcombe Farm park- you will not be disappointed.
Thanks again Christine and everyone else at Warcombe for making our holiday so special.
