Spectacular Scenery Abounds

Some of the hills can be challenging but spectacular scenery abounds! Great healthy pursuit for all the family.

Generally speaking you cannot cycle on the South West Coast Path - most of the Trail is only available to people on foot. Besides the coastal path has numerous steep ups and downs, and hundreds of steps.
Yet you will find plenty of great off-road cycle routes across North Devon

Lovely place, probably the best we have stayed at

Stayed at Warcombe Farm this weekend (Friday-Sunday) and the positive reviews I have read surely stood up. Such a clean, friendly well organised site with the best pitches I have seen.

We stayed on the premier pitch next to the lake, it's massive with a brick stand for your own BBQ and your own bench/table.

You get private access to the lake so can fish right next to your van. the weekend was designed around fishing which turned out to be very successful! Any keen fishers give it a go, the lake is flooded with carp and tench and we caught about 50 carp over the 2 days. (They love crab paste pellets) the toilets and showers where spotless and modern.

Staff where very friendly, especially the guy who took us to our pitch and cuts the grass he's a top bloke. I would definitely stay here again and advise you do so too. Thanks very much

Five minutes from Woolacombe

This site is extremely well maintained, clean and tidy, bins emptied regularly, lovely play park for the children, friendly and helpful staff, excellent facilities for washing and showering etc. Although I can see the washing up-area would get busy when the site is full.

DH wasn't keen on the fact that the pitches were pre-marked and you weren't able to choose your own area on arrival but I didn't find it a problem.

The site was quite exposed to the elements in places however some of the pitches were more sheltered so do request that if desired.

The reason we chose this site was because of it's proximity to Woolacombe and it was a five minute drive away. The shop on site had ample basic items (milk, bread, butter, eggs, bacon etc.) and operated an ice-pack hire system - the prices were ok for a camp-site.

I thought the cost for 3 nights, 2 adults and 2 children was quite pricey but then I guess they have more overheads in terms of maintenance than some more basic sites.

I would definitely stay here again but would possibly try another one in the Woolacombe area first just to compare.
