Sunsets over the Sea

Sunsets over the Sea

We enjoy stunning sunsets most days, and here with the sea as a backdrop and Lundy Island on the horizon.
Lundy means 'puffin' in Norse though these days puffins on the island are in decline, Lundy's wildlife still remains internationally important. In fact Lundy Island is Englands only marine nature reserve and remains the biggest seabird colony in the south of England.

Had a lovely albeit brief stay here and found the owners particularly welcoming, very competitive rates in the high season rivals another popular site we frequent on the Isle of Man although this one has far better facilities!

stunning campsite

We have just returned from a weeks stay at Warcombe farm, it is by far the best campsite we have stayed on in the 7 years we have been camping. A beautiful site, very well maintained, lovely clean and warm showers and plenty of them, never had to queue, a shop that sells lovely fresh rolls, pastries etc. but get there early, they go very quickly!

5 min drive to Woolacombe bay or you can walk which we also did, about half hour each way but a steep climb back. We pitched at far end of site near to the meadow (pitch 212), a massive pitch, just a few mins walk to the toilets etc., if you prefer to be away from the main area like we do then this area is perfect.

Our 3 kids, age 12 and twin girls age 10, had a fab time, we hardly saw them in the evenings as they played at play park and made lots of friends. The zip wire is brilliant!!!

Very relaxing break and thoroughly enjoyed it... will be back next summer!! thanks Warcombe farm, fab staff to, very helpful.
