Excellent camp site
Well after spending years going to Woolacombe for year in and out as a child and now with a family we stumbled across Warcombe farm 3 years ago. We have since visited 5 or 6 times. Every time has been an excellent stay.
The pitches are kept to a very high standard. The bathrooms are excellent. With the added bonus of having family bathroom and shower rooms, this is an excellent idea especially with the young ones.
After staying at most campsites this is the best without a doubt.
Another Great Holiday
Just returned from a brilliant holiday at this lovely campsite. It's our second time here returning after a week in August 2014. This time we were booked in for 11 nights (2 of which were our Air Ambulance raffle prize, Thank you!!!). I can only complement this site. You are welcomed with a smile, guided to your pitch and given a run down on what's what and where by staff who clearly enjoy their work.
The pitches are spacious, flat and some are in secluded areas. The wash rooms, loos and pot wash areas are clean and spacious with constant hot water. The family wash rooms are a godsend for those of you with kiddies, although the individual showers would easily accommodate one adult and an child in same cubicle.
The site is peaceful and family friendly, all you will hear after 11pm will be the nocturnal wildlife, no thudding music or raised voices, although if you are there when there is a meteor shower expect to hear oohs and ahhs.
There is no light pollution so star gazing is a must, especially if the perseids Meteors are overhead which we were lucky to see.
The site is perfectly located between Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. Car parking is a bit pricey in Woolacombe for a few hours but if you are planning on a whole day there it's reasonable. You are able to walk to Lee Bay direct from the site, it's quite a steep incline so be aware if you planning on this with little ones.
We had a wonderful holiday and plan to return in 2016, reservation already placed!!
Great Campsite with Picturesque views
This is a very friendly, well run, very tidy caravan site. The staff were very accommodating, and the shower block facilities were as good as any you would find in a top hotel. Absolutely breath taking views, with plenty to do and see. Easy to get to the coastal walks and footpaths.
An amazing campsite, we will be back
We booked here for a 5 night stay due to the high quality reviews. Unfortunately we left early due to the poor weather but the campsite was great and we will return.
On arrival we explained that our original plans had changed, which affected the number of guests and our requirements so the staff moved us to a larger pitch to accommodate our new needs. They were efficient and friendly.
Mike, who showed us to our pitch was informative about the area, friendly and helpful. Our pitch was secluded with trees and shrubs surrounding us which was lovely.
The children enjoyed walking to the shop to buy pastries in the morning - again another nice touch. Our pitch was close to the dog walking field and, in my opinion, this is the nicest end of the site.
The middle pitches are quite open which is nice if you want to mix. Those nearest the play park are quite loud with large groups of children in the park until dark but this is what I would expect. If you want peace and quiet just ask the friendly staff for a quiet pitch when booking.
The washing facilities were the best I have seen. As we left, we noticed a herb garden outside the shop which had a notice saying you could help yourself - something we will definitely do next time. This is really a gem of a campsite. It was a shame about the weather but we will definitely return!
Warcombe Farm Camping Park:
What a shame that the weather was disappointing - but despite this you enjoyed your holiday at Warcombe. The herb garden has been so popular that we are going to plant another the other side of the park. Thank you to Judith for this wonderful idea that our visitors have really enjoyed! The office staff have great recipe ideas - it's amazing how herbs can transform cookery and we love giving our customers ideas and cooking tips!
Had our first visit to the site last week. Will definitely be returning. The facilities were great. The family showers were brilliant for me and my daughter to shower together and lots of space to put things. Everything was nice and easy. The boys loved the fishing lake. Brilliant all round ☺️
The camp site is spectacular, I have really been spoilt. There is no other site that can compare to Warcombe farm. The toilets are clean, plenty of facilities, there's a dog walk with a view of the sea, it's quite and the pitches are spacious.
The staff are always out and about and extremely friendly. I have been visiting for two years now and don't doubt one minute of it.
I highly recommend this site
Excellent in every way
This site is one of the best camping and caravan sites you could hope for. It is quiet and peaceful but has a nice play area for children however the play area is at the top of the site and we didn't hear any noise. The toilet / shower blocks are large, super clean and very modern. Dryers and washing machines are all available.
Dogs are welcome and the site has a brilliant area to let your dogs off for a run. The shop is well stocked with fresh pastries in the mornings.
Local eateries have a mobile pizza, fish and chips and other take away foods available on site on different days from about 5pm (This starts at a specific time of year so ask before you book).
You do pay a little bit more for your hols here but it keeps certain type of people away that can ruin your holiday (you know the type I mean)
The staff are friendly and the grounds are kept clean and tidy.
No bar which for us is a plus point but local pubs are not far away.
If your looking for your main holiday and want some assurance of a top class site in the UK then I would recommend you pay a little more and go to Warcombe Farm.
As camp sites go - very good
Spent 3 days and nights at the site - which is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately it rained heavy on and off for the 3 days) 18 hrs constant in one duration, which spoilt our holiday somewhat. However when the sun shone the views from the site were superb. Will look more closely at the weather prior to booking next time but will return.
A little sun, a little rain...
6 nights at Warcombe Farm gave us chance to experience the site in sun and rain.
In the sunshine, the views were stunning, the dog walking area a holiday highlight and the nearby beaches a family favourite.
But this is England and inevitably the rain came... but the campsite consistently delivered everything described on their website... very clean, warm, spacious showers, a welcoming smile when buying our breakfast pastries each morning, the luxury of hot meals to order some evenings and a quiet nights sleep each night (aside from the rhythm of the rain!).
Wouldn't look anywhere else if we return to camp in this area again.
We have just returned from a 4 night stay at Warcombe Farm.
I have to say that I have never stayed at a campsite before with bathroom facilities like they have. AWESOME is the word to describe them - spacious, clean, plenty of large shower cubicles, sinks and toilets and underfloor heating!
The campsite pitches are varied, some in quite open fields and others in hedged areas which we were pitched on. There are plenty of electric pitches.
Small things can make a big difference - outside the reception/shop there is a lovely herb planter that guests can help themselves to for cooking with. What a lovely touch.
All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
We would definitely recommend Warcombe Farm to anybody wishing to visit North Devon and we will most certainly be returning next year. Thank you.
Warcombe Farm Camping Park:
Thank you so much John and Sarah! Look forward to seeing you again in the near future. And we are planning to plant another herb garden on the opposite side of the park next year so more people can liven up their campsite cooking!

Best site we have stayed on.
We returned from a week long stay at Warcombe farm yesterday. I don't normally leave reviews but really felt that I had to on this occasion. Firstly when we arrived we did have one slight blip as we couldn't be put on the pitch that we had requested. This was of no fault of the site it was merely because of the high volume of rain they had experienced the pitch was too wet. However the situation was swiftly sorted out and the alternative pitch was just as good.
All of the staff that we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. I can highly recommend the cream tea which you can order from reception it was amazing!
Usually we probably wouldn't stay on a site as big as this as we would be worried about noise and cleanliness of the facilities. Neither was a problem though. All of the sites that we have stayed on have had reviews stating that the showers were spotless but I have never felt that way until I stayed here, and although we had a fully serviced pitch and used the shower in the van on the occasions that we did use the showers they were indeed spotless! ( and I am a very very fussy clean freak!)
So overall this site is amazing so much so we enquired about having a seasonal pitch for next year and fingers crossed for that!
All of the 5 star reviews can't be wrong!
This is a great site. Staff very helpful, even helped us recycle our tent after the rain got the better of it. Good well stocked shop, beaches with walkable distance and nice Sunday carveries in Mortehoe Will return soon, hopefully in a lovely new caravan.
Hope to visit again very soon
We love this site, and the past two years we've pitched up our large tent, but hopefully next visit will be with our caravan. Highly recommend the site and the area. Very friendly staff and spotlessly clean facilities. One of the best camping sites we've ever visited.
My friend and I visited here for 3 nights from 28 -31 Aug. Lovely campsite. We has an electric hookup plus water tap and grey water drainage. The pitch had a hardstanding space for a car and was very spacious.
The farm shop sold basic supplies; bread, milk, snacks, toiletries and wine!!!! Opened from 8. 30-21. 00. Friendly and knowledgeable staff for info where to eat around the area.
Outside the shop there is a free herb garden where you can help yourself. The best thing was the shower block; huge cubicles, with a toilet, sink, lighted mirrors, and underfloor heating. This is the best I've ever seen on a campsite. Hair-drier for 20p although I didn't use it. I don't know if I was lucky with the timing, but I didn't have to queue!! The toilet block next door had about 5 toilets with a sink and it was all very clean. It also has 2 sink areas for washing up and 2 washing machines and tumble driers.
When we arrived, you have to go to reception to book in, and drive a bit further up so someone can show you to your pitch. The electric hook-ups include a bit that lights up at certain times, and because we were fairly near to the toilet/shower block, I didn't need to use a torch at night.
Some of the pitches have a bricked BBQ, which we didn't have, but you can ask for bricks if needed. I recommend this camp site.
October Camping Holiday!
Great stay, helpful friendly staff. Very dog friendly with great facilities including a field within the site where they can go off lead, footpaths straight from the campsite... no need to get in the car! Great showers and toilets, really clean and warm especially good late October!
You feel very secure with the barrier entry and exit gates. We will be back again.
