A lovely weekend break
We booked this last minute and wasn't disappointed. We were greeted by friendly staff in the reception area and shown to our nice sized pitch. We needed a longer lead to reach the hook up but ours was a bit worse for wear so one of the wardens took it away and fixed it for us!
We took two dogs and we and they loved the walks through the fields at the back.
The toilets with their spaciousness and underground heating were fabulous.
The shop sells basic supplies which is fine as we take our own stuff anyhow.
The site is very clean and tidy, with super staff going that extra mile to help.
The only negative for us is that it was quite a distance to walk down to the beach but that wouldn't deter us visiting again.
Excellent campsite. We chose because of central location to the interesting area and its 5 star rating. We were not disappointed.
Lovely warm welcome, Glyn gave us excellent local knowledge of the area and fantastic recommendations of restaurants and places to see.
Pretty pool and well maintained site. Lovely short walk to a coastal bay.
Excellent clean washing up facilities and laundry.
One highlight was the shower blocks, large cubicles, underfloor heating, great shelving units for your towels etc. A hook in each cubicle and possibly ones under the sinks to hang your bags oh and free hair-dryers are needed to make it 100%!! But a definite 99. 9% from me!!
Having bought a Caravan for the first time we chose a campsite close to home for our first 'trip'. From the initial phone call to them to book a 4 night stay they could not have been more helpful and friendly. Arriving early evening we were shown to our pitch and everything was very clearly explained.
We chose a more private pitch towards the end of the campsite with trees on 3 sides part grass part hard standing. The whole site is incredibly well maintained (especially considering we were the other side of the school holidays!). The shower block was beautifully, spotlessly clean as was the washing-up facilities.
We chose this site as there was a fishing lake and dog walking areas. A lovely 14 acre site with paths well mown and plenty of bins!
Would not hesitate to recommend this site and we will definitely be going back next year... well done to everyone, they obviously work extremely hard and it shows!
Fantastic Camp Site
We just returned from a week here. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, There is nothing not to like about this site. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, When booking over the phone the lady I spoke to was wonderful, she spent time helping me select the pitch we would like - Thank you to that lady :0).
This site itself is ideal if you are looking for peace and quiet and some privacy. The pitches are very well spaced and well maintained. Before booking I did check out the reviews and the website, and it was partly due to the few 'bad reviews' that helped me to choose this site! I like peace and quiet, I like not to have another caravan or tent slap bang next door and I love the fact that if there are people being a bit noisy that they are asked quieten down. The website makes it clear that this is a campsite for people who are looking for a quieter kind of holiday. But it was great that the reviews confirmed this does happen :0).
Upon our arrival we were shown to our pitch and offered lots of help if needed, all we had to do was ask. We had a sea view pitch which was lovely, but all of the pitches are nice and spacious. The shower/toilet blocks are superb, with underfloor heating and were extremely clean.
The dog walking area is great (we do not have a dog) but still had a wonder round, this is area is really well thought out. I would also like to add how true to life Warcombe Farms website is, quite often I find that a website shows you the 'best bits', photos taken at flattering angles, pitches made to look larger than they really are etc. , but Warcombe Farm is like the images/description on their website.
It is really lovely site and ideal location for exploring this part of Devon. We would definitely stay here again, WELL DONE ALL AT WARCOMBE FARM AND THANK YOU FOR A LOVELY STAY!
Fabulous views, excellent facilities: huge showers/wet rooms and washing up area very practical, all very clean. We loved our weekend break. We were able to walk from the campsite and join the coast pass.
The village of Lee, walking distance, is beautiful and definitely a must to visit.
The nature reserve / garden they have created is gorgeous.
We just stayed for 2 nights, the camp is so lovely, clean and peaceful, we will definitely be going back next spring. We couldn't fault it at all, it was my first time camping and I loved every minute of it, didn't want to leave.
A great place for family camping
A lovely, well run camping park with outstanding facilities. The family bathroom was a huge bonus. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic views too. A great location for walks. We will definitely be back!!
Another great camping holiday
10 years on and still a fantastic site. The ship is well stocked and the showers are some of the best maintained we have seen. The family shower rooms are fantastic and a family of 4 can easily all shower at once. A great spot for touring north Devon and spending time on Woolacombe beach.
Fabulous, well run and maintained park.
Having booked a standard pitch for a week, myself, my husband and our two children (6 and 3) arrived at teatime on Saturday. The site was easy to find and well signed. We were shown to our pitch by a member of staff and given advice about how to pitch and where things were (a first for us, usually just get left to our own devices elsewhere) which we were very impressed with.
We were also informed about the visiting food vendors (fish and chip van on a Saturday) which was very useful seeing as we arrived at teatime! We were pitched quite close to the play area, which we were pleased about (and so were the kids!).
The facilities were lovely, and well maintained, with laundry facilities and lovely warm family shower rooms (one of the main reasons we booked). The shop, open from 8. 30am-9pm was well equipped and well priced,
I would like to take this opportunity to say how helpful and friendly all the staff were, with a special mention to Christine, who helped our family at about 9. 30-10pm when we had to call for an ambulance for our little girl after she had an accident.
Thank you. We will most definitely be back!
Best campsite you will ever visit!
Just returned from 2 weeks camping. This was our second visit to Warcombe Farm we also camped there last year. If you want a loud campsite with a club then this is definitely not the place for you.
Instead what Warcombe offer is a peaceful relaxing campsite which is spotlessly clean. My children loved the playground and made lots of new friends. We felt safe letting them play. Not only that, but when they went to bed they didn't wake up till well after nine in the morning, totally unheard of in my house!
Our pitch was beautiful at the side of the lake, we loved watching the ducks and the sunset of an evening.
The showers are lovely and clean and extremely spacious, plus you never have to queue. The weather wasn't the best but you soon forget about the rain once the sun starts shining. There are lots of washing machines and dryers too which always come in useful.
The dog walk is beautiful and is worth going for a wander even if you don't have a dog. Staff are all helpful and friendly nothing is too much trouble for them.
Woolacombe beach is beautiful as is Saunton Sands. If you fancy eating out we visited Cook Island on a few occasions, which we all enjoyed. There is a Tesco in Ilfracombe and also a Lidl. The site also has a small shop which my kids loved visiting to buy some sweets.
If I was to have one criticism, it is that Warcombe Farm is so lovely that my children are always sad when it is time to leave. Well worth the 6 hour drive to get there. We have booked for next year and we can't wait to return can't imagine going anywhere else now.
Warcombe Farm Camping Park:
Delighted to hear what a wonderful holiday you had with us. Our woodland walk offers everyone a great leisure area and provides access to the coastal paths.
Great Site and Staff
We visited the campsite for what was meant to be a weeks camping holiday. Due to a fault with our tent (it kept collapsing). Glynn a member of staff went above and beyond what was expected of him. He helped us take our tent down and pack everything away, he also liaised with the office who were also stars, to find us accommodation in a local B&B. Not to mention he looked after our trailer over night. I don't know what we would have done with out Glynn, he is a credit to Warcombe Farm Campsite.
We have since been back to have our weeks and can totally say this is the campsite to stay when visiting Woolacombe, North Devon
Can't go wrong booking this campsite!
All the staff are very helpful and friendly. The campsite is clean, tidy and well organised. The shower blocks are excellent, like the underfloor heating!
We would especially like to thank Glynn for his assistance when setting up for fishing. This was our kids first time fishing and we ended up catching over 30 fish that day.
If you are thinking of coming to North Devon and want a lovely relaxing campsite, then this is the place for you.
Many thanks to all at Warcombe Farm!
Brilliant campsite, fantastic facilities, set in beautiful Devon countryside
We got lucky with the weather, but this campsite is the best equipped campsite we have visited from the 5 we have been to as a family.
Welcoming and helpful staff with a good attitude, good security, amazing showers, set in fantastic countryside.
The only downside was our pitch was on a slight slope, but the pitch was spacious, and we booked late.
The campsite shop was well equipped.
Woolacombe is beautiful with an amazing beach and great surf.
We usually visit this campsite at least once a year with family and friends, to stay whenever we have a trip to Woolacombe. It is such a lovely campsite! The pitches are all lovely, some are set out in their own sort of cul de sac so when you book them all together you have your own little area!
A lot of them are in their own sort of glade which offers a bit of privacy - especially if you have young kids running around that you need to keep an eye on!
There are some lovely walks you can go on directly from the campsite too which are beautiful and nice to do on a sunny afternoon.
The bathrooms/showers/toilets here are amazing! All are spotlessly clean but they have been renovated recently, so they all have underfloor heating (nice and toasty after a night in a chilly tent!). They also have individual shower cubicles with shelves in to store your clothes etc. Also there are plenty of facilities, I've never once had to queue for a shower or a toilet!
Another fabulous treat here is the shop. They sell all of your normal items, however you can also order goods from the local bakery which you can pick up in the morning. Their pastries are the best!
Their campsite also has food vendors visit, the last time we went there was a wood fired pizza oven there on the Saturday night - delicious!
What a Cracker!!!
As a novice to campsites and caravans, I arrived slightly fearful of what lay ahead! My worries were gone in the first minute of arriving at this haven of calm and cleanliness!
The staff were SO helpful, smiling and kind. The showers and loos were beautifully kept and the pitches were homely, neatly kept and spacious.
The walks for the dog, right on the doorstep, were glorious and the shops supplied all we would need.
Minutes from the glorious Woolacombe beach and a lovely pub at Lee, we loved the whole experience so much we are booked to go back for two more weekends in September! Can't wait!!
