We had a fabulous holiday at Warcombe Farm last year. This is a friendly, beautifully kept site and the toilet block is probably the best we've come across.
The walks from the site are amazing. There is an abundance of wildlife and the site maintains a perfect balance in terms of preserving natural beauty and keeping the site neat and tidy.
The pitches are well marked and spacious and there are lots of secluded nooks and crannies for campers. We recommend the sheepdog and falconry display at the neighbouring farm. The sunset across the lake is beautiful.
If you have a family of young children be aware that the launderette facilities are minimal - only a one or 2 or washing machines that are small domestic sized. Also the camp shop is very basic, so be prepared to do 99% of your shopping elsewhere.
We would recommend this site to anyone. We cannot wait to return again in 2006.
Fab campsite, excellent facilities and a nice atmosphere
2006 will be the third year that I have visited Warcombe farm, great site, clean, friendly, good fishing, toilet block is the first thing you look for on any camp site - I would like to see one better.
Had a very nice weeks camping in August 2004. Was very impressed with the facilities, especially the toilet/shower blocks. We thought the campsite was well situated for exploring Devon and surrounding areas. And we are looking forward to visiting again this June.
One of the best camping sites around
