Well, that’s another Easter over and done and thankfully, the weather was kind over the holidays. Well, at least until Storm Noa blew in, literally, towards the end of the week! The last of our Easter guests are drifting off this weekend and things seem very quiet at Warcombe without the little people around to entertain us! We had a fabulous response to our egg decorating competition and Easter Quiz. Many thanks to everyone who took part. We had the Avon Rally staying with us, they all had great fun with their Easter Bonnet Parade and egg hunt. It was just great to see everyone getting involved, young and old. Even the dog joined in! Our new Fish and Chip Van, The Whiddon Waggon, was a huge success on Easter Monday! Everyone said the food was yummy.
With the met office now predicting a settled period and above average temperatures for the foreseeable, the team are out and about on the grounds, planting and weeding, making sure everything is pristine in preparation for the next Bank Holiday. April and May are ideal months to come to Warcombe for a well earned break. Enjoy the tranquility of the coast path or our glorious beaches, taking advantage of quieter times and low season prices. The bright yellow gorse is now in full bloom and the woodlands are carpeted in bluebells. Everything is in bud and the site is getting greener by the day! Our first ducklings have appeared on the lake! Such a special time here in beautiful Devon.
We are all here, ready and waiting to greet you. Can’t wait for you to join us! Bye for now, see you soon.
