Campsite Pitches with Sea Views

Campsite Pitches with Sea Views

It's not everywhere you can go camping with sea views. Wake up in the morning, step out from your tent or caravan and behold one of the most stunning coastlines in the world. Our campsites is not exactly perched on the edge of the cliff tops, but there are views out over the Bristol Channel and westward to the Atlantic. Other pitches look out over the North Devon countryside.

Short walks direct from the campsite offer the rugged coastline, deserted beaches, sand dunes, and well kept beaches with every convenience a family could desire. If you love being by the sea, then our campsite is for you.

Everyone has different requirements when camping or caravanning, and at Warcombe we aim to offer a quiet and friendly experience.

We cater for larger motorhomes, caravans, tents and WHY!

Brilliant campsite
There is nothing they don't have and can't accommodate - even a bath! Great campsite for everyone and especially if you have children or a dog or both. Clean everything, well fed fish on spam and sweetcorn, takeaways on site with different themes, 14 acres for the dogs and loads of room for the kids to play. Super shop and morning orders of fresh bread and croissants - fabulous stay, we extended twice!! Great views of Wales too.

Not too big and not too small

We booked this site after reading the reviews for a 5 night break August Bank Holiday week.
We were not disappointed. Beautiful views, very helpful staff and the onsite takeaway was very good and very reasonable.

The showers are superb with masses of room which I could take myself and my daughter (10) and son (2) in with me. To solve the problem of my son not liking showers, as most 2 year olds don't, I took a large plastic crate which we had used for transporting supplies etc in the shower room and filled it up with warm water from the shower. He then happily sat in it like a bath and I could get him clean without all the yelling and screaming a shower would've caused, and I had something to carry all the wet towels and dirty clothes back to the caravan in. Loads of room to get dressed without paddling in puddles of water and we took a lot less time and water than if we'd had to use a small cubicle one at a time.

The proximity to Woolacombe/Saunton beaches is great with a short drive to either and parking at £5 for the day I considered pretty reasonable. The staff on site were very helpful but the shop was very basic. The kids play area was great fun and suited both 10 year old and 2 year old, all I had to do was pull up a camping chair and sit and drink coffee while reading my book with one eye on the kids. My 10 year old loved the zip wire and most of the children were very well behaved and didn't hog it.

She made a few friends while queueing and cant wait to go back. The husband would've loved to try the fishing lake out, but the 2 year old won't allow it at the moment so cant comment on it.

The site is not cramped, although because we booked quite late, we were on a pitch next to the main road down the hill through the site, which with a 2 year old boy isn't ideal and quite a few of the drivers didn't stick to the speed limits so extra vigilance was called for on our part.

We cannot recommend this site highly enough, not too big and not too small, facilities excellent and we'll be returning asap.
