Sunsets over the Sea

Sunsets over the Sea

We enjoy stunning sunsets most days, and here with the sea as a backdrop and Lundy Island on the horizon.
Lundy means 'puffin' in Norse though these days puffins on the island are in decline, Lundy's wildlife still remains internationally important. In fact Lundy Island is Englands only marine nature reserve and remains the biggest seabird colony in the south of England.

Excellent site!
We stayed there in August 2013 and loved it so much that we returned the following month for a long weekend. The facilities are excellent. The shower blocks and washing up facilities are very, very clean, the staff is very helpful. The shower block is warm and the shower cubicles are large so you have plenty of space to get changed.

The site itself is spacious and offers a lot of privacy thanks to small trees and bushes between pitches. This is a very good site if you have pets with a great walking area for the dogs which offers a fantastic sea view!

There is a small shop, very practical and you can order very nice croissants, pains au chocolate, etc the night before.

Overall this is a five star site and I would most definitely go back and recommend it to friends and family.

If Carlsberg did

Fantastic site, my husband and I camp with the two dogs every year for a week in June. The site is absolutely beautiful.

Brilliant pitches and amazing shower and toilet blocks that are spotless. The dog walk is perfect.

The staff are so helpful and friendly I must say a big thank you to Glynn who recommended that I use the Woolacombe Stables after speaking to him and saying I was an accomplished rider who competes wanting to go on a beach ride. I wasn't disappointed it was brilliant. Thank you Glynn

Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff. We used the on-site cafe Captain Hooks a couple of times for our evening meal. The lasagne was very nice.
