Warcombe Woodland

Warcombe Woodland

Enjoy a pleasant stroll with beautiful views through the Warcombe Woodland. 14 and a half acres that has recently been planted with 12,500 saplings.

Pictured here is one of our early visitors in Spring.

We now offer a Dog Wash for after those more adventurous walks.

A few Guest comments regarding the Woodland walk ..

The dog walking area (we went with my sister who has dogs) was so well maintained. It was like a woodland walk abundant with nature and wildlife. I'd happily go for a walk around even without dogs. The site is very strict about picking up poo so little ones need not fear of hiking around and getting poo on their shoes.

The woodland walk was fantastic too and a great idea.

Fantastic stay at this great campsite, very friendly and extremely helpful staff. It was our first time with a caravan and everyone was very helpful. Good sized pitches, great play area for the kids, fishing lake and a wonderful woodland walk for the dog. All the facilities were always very clean.

They accommodate dogs really well and the woodland field is such an added bonus. They even give your dog a little goodie bag on arrival.

Great campsite!

Lovely campsite in a fairly remote location with views of the sea if you are located at the back of the site. Close to Woolacombe and Mortehoe but driving distance if you have young children.

A couple of shower blocks which are a long way from the far end of the site where we stayed but the sea views make up for it.

Having said that, there are loads of showers (so you never have to queue), a good campsite shop that sells pastries in the morning, a children's play ground (with zip wire) and a fishing lake.

Would definitely return

An excellent site!. All previous reviews about new shower / toilet block are spot on!. The wardens went about their routine business and didn't seem to bother anyone, but, were extremely helpful if approached!.

The dog walking area is immense! and leads onto some very nice public footpaths down to the coast, fully planted with new trees - the previous report regarding 'losing your dog' is now out of date. Usual problems exist with this field however, namely that some dog owners do not, or will not, 'clear up'.

The only downside of the week for us was that although the site has an area for late caravan arrivals, we found a family pitching a tent directly opposite us at 11. 30pm onwards!, headlights on, doors slamming, kids running amok etc, etc. with little regard for anybody else. All in all though, an excellent site.

Local facilities though are not so good - you often have to stand in a queue to get a beer in the nearest pub and the fish and chip shop in Mortehoe is nothing short of a disorganised rip off!.
