As the half term holidays draw to a close we thought we’d post a few words just to reflect. Its been our, and indeed your, first ‘proper’ holiday period, with everything fully functional since lockdown ended. We think its been a great success!  We hope you will agree. The glorious weather has of course made all the difference but you guys have been simply awesome.  We are so grateful for your patience and co-operation. We know its not easy having to wait around whilst we deal with tedious track and trace requirements and sometimes masks etc. are forgotten but we are all only human and some of us haven’t been out in a while!  Anyway a huge thanks to all our campers. You are the best!

Our food vans have done a roaring trade over the holiday period. Thanks to them for their hard work. We welcomed our newbie, Joe and his vintage horse trailer, Flame and Dough, selling freshly made Wood Fired Pizza. He was incredibly popular. Now he has a feel for how busy the site is, he will be well prepared for the Summer! In addition to the vans, for those of you who prefer to cook, we are thinking of doing a new feature, one pot camping recipes. Would that be of interest? Our Wardens between them have a wealth of camping and travel experience. We have lots of yummy ideas for you, using local produce wherever possible.

We launched our new doggie ice cream over the Bank Holiday which was also a resounding success.

Its only fair that our four legged guests have their holiday treats too after all!

Lastly, we have noticed that you have been posting lots of great pictures, particularly of your doggies and spectacular ‘catches’ around the lake! If you would like your shots to be included in our gallery, then please email them to us at info@warcombefarm.co.uk with your consent for us to use them. We’d love to see you on our website!

So, it just remains for us to say Cheerio dear friends. Have a safe journey home and do come back soon. If you had a fabulous time, spread the word! Keep an eye on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for regular updates. We have really enjoyed having you here at Warcombe Farm!
