October Camping Holiday!
Great stay, helpful friendly staff. Very dog friendly with great facilities including a field within the site where they can go off lead, footpaths straight from the campsite... no need to get in the car! Great showers and toilets, really clean and warm especially good late October!
You feel very secure with the barrier entry and exit gates. We will be back again.
Birthday weeks holiday
omg what can I say .. lovely staff, lovely sea view pitch, the most amazing showers and toilets, fantastic North Devon campsite, lovely walks from the site, lovely restaurants in Woolacombe, can not wait to return in 2016!
Return visit over the bank holiday. Great campsite, excellent facilities and only 10mins by car to Woolacombe beach for the surf. Staff are very helpful advice herb garden to pick from is a great idea to spice up the cooking. Highly recommend this camping site and will be back again!
Easy to find this site... not far from Woolacombe itself. The site is pristine with really great facilities. Our pitch (49) was in the far corner of the site near to the vast dog walking area! The views to the sea were great and the grounds maintained to a high standard.
All of the staff were really chatty and friendly and helped us sort out a few issues with our caravan.
We plan to return next year!
Lovely well run site
Despite a late arrival long after the office had closed, we were made to feel very welcome by the on-call warden who showed us down to our pitch in the dark.
We had a lovely pitch with sea views and plenty of privacy (worth paying a little extra to be off the main avenues) and only a shortish walk to the excellent immaculate facilities.
Fantastic, even in rain
I'm a seasoned camper. I've been all round UK and Europe in tent and camper van. This place is straight into my all-time top 5, purely on the fact that even if it's not the best located campsite in this part of Devon, it is extremely well run.
It bucketed it down and the ground was soggy, so I was swiftly given some chipped straw to soak it up 4. 5 minutes after asking for it. Better washing facilities than I have at home (really - underfloor heating in a campsite!).
The site itself is a good mix of hard touring pitches and meadows for us tenters. The small shop has the basics and camping spares. Various food offerings on - different nights for those needing a rest from cooking. If it had a bar and was right by the beach I think I'd stay forever. Thanks Warcombe - another satisfied customer and thanks for being so kind to my little boy on his first camping trip to Devon.
We had a fab stay here on a campsite that really does care!
Outstandingly clean ablutions, really friendly ground staff, we arrived late but Judith made sure we were directed to a perfect plot with a sea view.
The only thing the poor staff cannot control is the unbelievable attitude of some of my fellow campers, I am speaking of one couple with the hugest camper coach outside the main ablutions and wash up area, who seemed to be under the misguided impression that bigger means they have the right to be aggressive and extraordinarily territorial!!! So my advice if you see this brown and cream behemoth of a motorhome ask for a different plot well away!! They are a wee bit odd. .
Everyone else was extremely gracious. Especially the ladies in the shop with dog treats :)
We will be back!
Lovely, Tranquil site
This was mine and the wife's first camping trip together. I found the site on the Internet. Luckily a friend had stayed and said how Clean the site was so I decided to book. When trying to book on the Internet it didn't give the option for a tent, but rather a tourer. I can't remember how much it was stating but I thought it was reasonable for a week with electrics (they have several types of pitches with picnic benches, barbecues, storage etc. ) around £145 I think. Because of the website I decided to give them a call. The receptionist was so helpful, and advised for my tent for the week it would only be £100!!!!!! Wow. We even got to choose our own pitch (2 days before this got changed to one next door as the one we chose had been rained on and was muddy)
Anyway, after a very delayed 5 hour journey we arrived at the site at 5. 30pm on Saturday. We were last ones that day I think. We quickly checked in and was shown down to our pitch, stopping on the way to be shown WC's etc. really good and detailed so we knew exactly where we were.
The pitch itself was in a lovely little spot. All pitches had shrubs and trees around them making them very secluded, and peaceful. We quickly set up and decided to go shower and get something to eat. We used the family showers and must say we were so impressed!! Very very clean and tidy. Underfloor heating. You didn't mind walking around barefoot (which I remember when I was a kid was a no go when we went camping) I think there was sort of a mutual respect between everyone as at no time did we ever see any tissue or paper on the floor. People mopped up after themselves. It was just a generally very pleasant experience each time the toilets and shower rooms were used.
We were on plot 136, the only thing that we have said we will do different next time is to choose to a plot on the opposite end of the park as at around 5pm the sun was off the tent and it got a bit chilly very early.
We asked to feed the ducks one day and was told we could call them and they would come over. I never knew ducks come when called but they do here! (The fishing price for a day on their lake is very reasonable so be sure to check it out if you're into that)
The staff were always very polite and always said hello when they went past (even on their buggies)
All in all to was a very good stay for us, and for first time camping together (the wife had never been before) ensured that we will go again and again.
Thanks to all the staff for their hard work in maintaining this lovely place. They truly do a great job.
PS never make the mistake of thinking a coastal path is a path down to the beach. 4 hours later we returned to the tent after a nice hike. But the coastal path just outside the tent is beautiful, with picnic benches so definitely worth going there if you want a picnic.
Best caravan site ever stayed on.
We could not believe how good the amenities on this sight were. From the spotlessly clean underfloor heated shower block to ones own water tap, drainage point, barbecue and picnic table plus bike stands, and fire extinguisher. Also I could get WiFi in the caravan. There was a nice view of the fishing lake and ducks.
Wonderful site - immaculate facilities
An absolutely lovely site, lots of varied pitches from no electric up to super pitches with electric, water, waste and picnic table. The dog walk was stunning, it was huge with fab views a must even if you don't have a dog. Fishing on site and the facilities were stunning - underfloor heating and clean.
Well stocked, reasonably priced shop and friendly wardens. Don't think you could ask for more. As for the previous comment regarding rules - it's great to go to a site that actually upholds its rules, most just pay lip service to them.
Thanks for a lovely week.
Having had a fantastic holiday at Warcombe farm last year, we couldn't wait to go again. We were not disappointed. It was even better than last year despite the weather not being quite so good. Where do you start reviewing such a fantastic site and amazing people.
We unfortunately had a problem with our inflatable awning and it had somehow sprung a leak. Anyone that has read any previous reviews will have come across Glyn. I am pleased to say that I met the legend and he couldn't have been more helpful. He helped us temporarily fix our awning and made regular checked through out the weeks to make sure it was ok. He really couldn't have been any more helpful. He also taught me and the family to fish and spent time with my 2 young children patiently explaining what to do. It is little touches like this that really make this site so warm, friendly and welcoming.
I am not saying anything that hasn't been said before but the facilities are exceptionally clean and well serviced, the site is immaculately clean and tidy, the shop is well stocked and reasonably priced, the staff are engaging, helpful and are always keen to offer advise should it be needed and the pitches are of a lovely size and well maintained.
For anyone that is not sure where to go camping or caravanning next I urge you to go to Warcombe Farm park- you will not be disappointed.
Thanks again Christine and everyone else at Warcombe for making our holiday so special.
Perfect Site, Perfect Location
What an amazing little find this was. After finding this campsite on the internet and of course then taking to trip advisor to get a general feel of the reviews, we were excited to arrive.
From the moment we arrived at site check in was incredibly smooth, we was escorted to our pitch and shown the layout of the site. Its big and caters for all sorts of camping accommodation, but even though its big its also very personal and your not on top of fellow campers, almost at times hidden away in the trees.
The Dog walking area is the best we have ever seen, so for anyone who begrudges paying for their pups this camping site offers your dog a holiday in itself for them.
There is nothing I can say that is negative about this campsite, The shower blocks and Toilets are 5* underfloor heating and immaculately clean. These guys here go above and beyond the call of duty, extremely friendly and provide these amazing facilities for us campers to enjoy, nothing like staying at a site that is passionately run and well maintained.
Please remember though that they have no way of controlling what Mother Nature is going to do, which means of course they are at her mercy also, water logged pitches are of course going to be out of use and it may be the pitch you had booked, but not necessarily going to get, they are not doing this to ruin your stay, simply that said pitch may be to wet to accommodate and an alternative offered. So book with confidence and be assured you won't be disappointed.
Thank you again to all the staff because of you your site is what it is. See you again for sure.
Great family holiday
Our second visit to this wonderful site. Helpful staff, excellent facilities and superb location.
We had a lovely pitch with room to sit in the sun (when the rain stopped) and amazing views.
Plenty of walks to nearby Mortehoe and Lee Bay and a short drive to Ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Croyde.
Plenty of dog friendly beaches, cafes and pubs in the area too.
Thanks for another great stay.

Camping with friends.
First class campsite, excellent facilities, regular bus service nearby pub with a brilliant carvery. Would recommend this establishment. Good base for Ilfracombe, Woolacombe, Barnstaple and North Devon.
Another Fabulous Week at Warcombe Farm
This is our second year camping at Warcombe Farm and we loved our stay this year too! The staff are wonderful, and Glyn was there to see us safely onto our pitch again (and remembered our quirky caravan hitch!).
Camping with dogs is effortless with the lovely dog walking woods on site.
The showers and laundry facilities are excellent and the shop is well stocked. We love the pizza nights and arriving after an 8 hour drive to fish and chips cooked to order is always a treat!
Woolacombe beach is beautiful and dog friendly - within walking distance down a wooded path. We also found fantastic riding stables near Lynton.
We have recommended Warcombe Farm to friends and will return!! Thanks for another fabulous week in Woolacombe! - Glynn: 'The Girls' say Hello and we will be back!!
