Greetings dear Campers, hope you are all safe and well and looking forward to the Summer Holidays.  Almost there! The Season is marching on at a fair old pace. Some of you will already have visited us at least once and hopefully had a wonderful time. There is finally light at the end of this very long and arduous pandemic tunnel  although many of us will still feel a little nervous about the restrictions being lifted.  For our part, we are going to continue with enhanced cleaning and will recommend mask wearing to staff and guests in our shared areas. Visitors will unfortunately not be permitted on site for the remainder of this year. Covid hasn’t gone away after all, it is just being more effectively managed. We would hate to have an issue when things have been going so well. We must limit our risks for both your protection and that of our own staff. We do hope you lovely people will understand. Anyway, enough Covid nonsense, let’s have an injection of feel good factor!  Have you heard the news?!  We are now officially the best beach in UK!  Well at least the Sunday Times think so!  Woolacombe has been awarded Beach of the Year in their Best Beach Guide 2021. Whoop whoop! We are hardly surprised, we think its amazing!  What’s not to love! A big thanks to all the hard working crew at Parkin Estates who work tirelessly to keep things ship shape and pristine. Great work guys!

To celebrate World Sand Dune Day, ten flamboyantly painted Cow sculptures can be spotted round and about Woolacombe, do look out for them!  The trail was created by the North Devon National Trust to highlight the importance of the dunes for wildlife and conservation.  These brightly coloured beasts have each been allocated a theme and hand painted by local schools and community groups in the area. Meet the fabulous Lady Fleur located outside Woolacombe and Mortehoe Tourist Information Centre!

Last but definitely not least, you will all be delighted to hear that the food vans are back at Warcombe from this week! We kick off with Phil and his Big Yellow Van serving Burritos and Mexican on Thursday the 15th of July. Joe from Flame ‘n’ Dough will be doing Pizza on Friday. Miles, the Codfather, and his Fish and Chip Waggon are with us on Saturday and Devon Caterers will be dishing up their delicious Indian Street Food on Sunday.  Check us out on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter  for regular updates! Safe travels everyone. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
