Am I allowed to leave my dog(s) unattended in my unit?
Unfortunately, we do not allow dogs to be left unattended in your unit as it can cause disturbance to other campers.
Also, due to the heat that can be generated in the unit, it is also unfair to the dog. But it is worth noting that Woolacombe Bay is a dog friendly beach and at certain times of the year has some restrictions. We have attached a list of some of the dog friendly beaches in North Devon.
Attractions for visitors to North Devon
We are very lucky here at Warcombe Farm camping Park to be able to visit many family attractions, we have listed a few in the local area :- Watermouth Castle & Family Theme Park Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park The Big Sheep, Near Bideford The Milky Way, Near Bideford Ilfracombe Aquarium Mortehoe Museuem Cascades Fun Pool, Croyde More information on all the tourist attractions are displayed in our Tourist Information.
Barbecues are allowed on site but we do ask that they are kept off the grass to prevent any damage. We do have resting blocks on site for your use just ask at reception.
Can I bring my dog to the park?
Dogs are always welcome to our campsite but must be kept on a lead at all times except in the woodland dog walking area, where we have a superb dog washing facility.
The woodland area is a great area for all the family to enjoy, you can watch the fabulous sunsets that North Devon is famous for. The Coastal path can be accessed directly from our site where you and your dog can enjoy a fabulous walk and scenery. The North Devon area is very dog friendly most pubs and cafes accept dogs.
Can we do our laundry?
Yes, there are automatic front loading washing machines which take a token which can be purchased from reception £4.00 for a super wash. Tumble dryers are £1 for 20mins drying. Change is available from the campsite shop.
Do you allow open fires?
No – sorry but for safety reasons we do not allow fire pits, open fires or logs on BBQs.
Do you charge for showers?
No, these are included in the rates shown in the tariff. Both of our shower blocks have plenty of hot water and offer the luxury of underfloor heating. Warcombe farm offers premium quality caravan and camping facilities – among the best to be found in North Devon! Our family shower rooms make life so much easier for those with young children.
Do you give refunds?
No – please consult the information in our pricing literature and terms and conditions.
A non refundable deposit is payable at the time of booking
Do you have hairdryers on site?
In the ladies toilet facilities there are hairdryers available for use for a cost of 20 pence.
Do you take groups?
Warcombe is a family campsite and offers space, relaxation and superb camping facilities. We also offer a well run peaceful park for those seeking relaxation and a chance to get away from noise! Everyone who is happy to abide by our park rules is welcome. For those groups seeking somewhere a bit more lively we can advise you of local sites that cater for groups and for the young.If you are interested in a group booking during mid or low season, please call us on 01271 870690 for a copy of our group booking terms and conditions.
Does the campsite have WiFi?
Our whole campsite is covered by WiFi to enable people to access the internet to check emails from the comfort of your own pitch. This service is provided by Club WiFi – you can buy time directly from them online using your debit/credit card or paypal. We have attached a direct link to Club WiFi to enable you to see the current charges for the Wifi.
How far away is the nearest beach?
Woolacombe Bay is the nearest beach
(dog friendly) to our park and is approximately 1.5 miles away. Ilfracombe is a little over 6 miles away from our campsite also dog friendly. The beaches of North Devon are suitable for all the family and a great place to go surfing. Woolacombe Bay has many surf schools offering tuition and equipment to hire.
How far away is the pub?
If you want a pub atmosphere,the Fortescue Arms is about 0.6 miles away – turn left out of the entrance to the park. It caters for families and provides a varied food menu.
Turn right out of the gate and Mortehoe village is about 0.75 miles. There are three pubs here. The Chichester Arms provides good beer and pub grub. Woolacombe also offers a good selection of pubs and cafes all dog and family friendly. You can also travel to Ilfracombe, Braunton and lots of little villages close to the park for a great selection of food.
How much is it to fish on the lake?
We offer superb coarse fishing – one of the best lakes to be found on a north Devon campsite!
Our lake is well stocked with Carp, Rudd and Tench. Make it a family fishing experience!The current charges for guests of the campsite to fish on the lake are as follows:

A great day for all the family to enjoy, many youngsters have caught their first fish here at Warcombe Farm.
Is it going to rain?
We hope not!
North Devon weather – especially by the coast can change and for the surfers among you weather and tide times are very important! Our campsite shop sells tide timetables and we post a weather bulletin regularly. Met Check is a good weather website. You can consult our website where we display the latest weather report for Woolacombe.
Is there a public phone on site?
No – the nearest phone is 600 yards from the gate at the junction of Station Road. We will of course always help in emergency situations.
It's raining - can I have a refund?
We do not give refunds if it rains, as we do not charge for the sunshine. If it does rain we have a list of wet weather activities in and around the Woolacombe and Ilfracombe area available from reception. Details of activities and places of interest for the North Devon area are available from the Tourist information room on the campsite.

We want to go fishing...
Great idea! Warcombe offers superb coarse fishing suitable for all the family to enjoy. Combine your North Devon Camping holiday with the chance to enjoy this popular pastime.Please ask at reception for further information and tickets to fish the lake at our park. You do not need a licence to fish here as we hold an Environment Agency general licence, but you will need a ticket. Tackle is available for hire (deposit required).
All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
What about general purpose electric sockets?
There are general purpose 13 amp sockets in the toilet block near the top of the site – to use these all you require is a 50p piece. Any valubles we will charge in reception for a small fee.
What about same sex groups?

What are the different types of pitches?
Warcombe offers fantastic family camping in North Devon! We have pitches to suit all preferences. Full pitch details are on our website and include:
A standard pitch is a grass pitch for tents or camper vans, there are no extra services.
A serviced pitch has a 16amp electrical hook up point and can be grass or full hard standing. For tents, caravans and camper vans.
A pitch plus has electric hook up, water tap and grey water drain and can be grass or hard standing. For tents, caravans or campervans.
Super pitches are the same as pitch plus but are extra large and level. For tents, caravans or campervans.
Premier pitches have electric,water and drain as well as cycle rack, picnic bench and bbq stand for disposable bbqs. They are extra large, level and have great views. For tents, caravans or campervans.

What coals do we need for the BBQs on the premier pitches?
There is a brick pillar on the pitch which takes a disposable barbeque – small or party size. They will support the tray type barbecues as well. There are plenty available from the campsite shop in the Reception building.
What if I want to make a complaint?
We hope this situation will not arise, but if something is not to your satisfaction, we will want to put it right as quickly as possible. So, PLEASE – tell us straight away and do not wait until the end of your holiday or when you get home.
What if reception is closed when I arrive?
Times do vary throughout the season, but there is always a contact telephone number for you to call our duty warden who will advise you of the appropriate pitching instructions.
What if we arrive late?
If you are delayed for any reason, please call and let us know so we can hold the pitch for you. If you arrive after 9pm, we ask that you pitch on the late arrivals area which is clearly marked outside of reception. This is for safety reasons and so other guests are not disturbed after dark.
What is a pitch plus?
A pitch plus type of pitch can be grass or hardstanding with 16 amp electric hookup and its own mains water and grey waste drainage point. We also offer the option for you to hire a picnic bench to enjoy the beautiful scenery that North Devon offers.
What is the amp rating of the hook ups?
The electrical hook ups on our campsite are all 16 amp.
What size are your pitches?
All of our pitches have been individually measured, call our knowledgeable reception staff to discuss your needs.
What time do I have to vacate my pitch?
The latest time for departing your pitch is 11.00 am on your last day. This is to enable us to prepare the pitch for the next person arriving at our campsite.
When will my pitch be available?
Your pitch will be ready by 2pm on the day of your arrival.
Where can I get camping and caravanning accessories?
We provide a very basic range in the campsite shop, but recommend Mullacott Caravans on Mullacott Industrial Estate (approx 2.5 miles) for all your needs – telephone 01271 863066

Ilfracombe offers a selection of small shops and burchers, also a Co-op along with a Tesco. A Londis convenience store is located in Woolacombe.
The nearest superstore type supermarkets are in Barnstaple.
