Hasn’t it being an absolutely splendid Summer folks! We have all had a fabulous time here at Warcombe Farm with the little people on board! The children have been a joy as always, the real stars of our Summer, keeping us entertained with their jokes and antics. Its just lovely seeing how much they’ve grown since last year and trying to remember everyone’s names! We had a great response to our 500 Word Writing Competition too. Such super stories, don’t ever lose your imagination kids! Of course, the weather has made it extra special. Wall to wall sunshine for most of the school holidays, what a tonic! Oh those sunsets! Our Warcombe Scarecrow was busy, out and about again this year for the Mortehoe Scarecrow Festival. He was partaking in a bit of camping himself! Wonder what he’ll be up to next year?! Thanks to everyone who paid him a visit! Did you all enjoy our pastries this Summer? They seemed popular! Do you want them to continue next year? In other news, our ardent fisherfolk were all incredibly envious when Dottie, one of our budding young Anglers, landed the elusive monster Carp! Everybody tries year after year to bag him to no avail. Great work Dot! There have been so many wonderful events taking place in our area this season. Our amazing Tourist Information Team work incredibly hard for us, we are very lucky to have them, we do hope you managed to attend a few of the good bits! Big thanks to the TIC ladies for everything they do to ensure you have a wonderful holiday. Thanks also to Parkin Estates for keeping our beautiful beaches pristine. This year has been rather challenging for them with the works ongoing at the old Beachcomber Site. It should all be completed and looking amazing by the time you join us next year and the car parking reinstated! We hope you all enjoyed our Warcombe Food Vans this year. Once again, they’ve served us incredibly well with their delicious fayre. Big cheer for those guys! We have a couple of changes planned to the line up for next season, watch this space! We seem to have blinked and its all over! Autumn has arrived, the leaves are falling, the hedgerows are heavy with juicy berries, the children are back at school and things are starting to wind down. Everything seems so quiet! The pace is much slower and we are beginning our annual pitch maintenance whilst we enjoy another spell of good weather. Its time for the rallies to arrive! It will soon be Halloween and the last half term before Christmas. How time flies! Huge thanks to you all for your continued support again this season. Love and best wishes to everyone, have a great Winter, we look forward to seeing you next time! TTFN. Team Warcombe xxx
